UNI Earth Day Celebration-2014
Once again the Earth Day Celebration was a huge success with over 600 hundred UNI faculty, staff and students visiting the Maucker Union Courtyard on April 22 to talk with educational booths, win prizes, make s'mores, and learn about sustainability efforts on the UNI campus.  Rod Library collected used books to donate to the 'Room to Read' program,  SAAC organization also offered an opportunity for students and staff to engage with the community through the Hygiene Hijack effort to collect toiletry items for donation to a local shelter. Free bike tune up performed by Europa and sponsored by UNI Wellness & Rec Dept.  All in all, the event was well received and the RRTTC would like to thank all those who participated and made Earth Day such a great success! Earth Week Campus Cleanup

The RRTTC partnered with the Volunteer Tuesday's Group and Green Iowa AmeriCorps in an effort to clean up Highway 20 and the UNI campus. Over 45 volunteers participated in the effort. Numerous bags of trash were filled and a bicycle frame was found. Thank you to the volunteers for your hard work!
